Biography

Michelle B. Kane earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and worked in the Building Industry for twelve years prior to becoming an attorney. Michelle earned her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and South Carolina and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and all Florida State Courts.

Michelle primarily practices in construction and civil litigation matters including commercial and contractual disputes, construction disputes and defects, lien and bond claims, and professional licensing complaints and issues. She is experienced in Jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations and administrative proceedings.

Michelle served on the State of Florida, DBPR, Construction Industry Licensing Board for eleven years, having been appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2002, and thereafter,  reappointed by former Governor Charlie Christ.  Michelle served as Chairman of the Board during 2004-2005.

Michelle lives in Orlando and is an avid  fan of the Florida Gators and Orlando City Soccer. She also enjoys skiing, scuba diving and fishing.
